About FOMA Innovation

FOMA Innovation was formed at the last FOMA AGM, its role is to provide though leadership, navigation and ultimately seek change in the science system to be more for FOMA Members. FOMA Innovation will focus on six key elements, being:

  • WHAKAPUTANGA - Access and Influence

  • TAIAO - Land, Water, Atmosphere, and Energy Development

  • MATAURANGA - Insights from quality information

  • RANGATAHI - Youth Development

  • WHANAUNGATANGA - Relationships

  • RANGAHAU - Research and Development

The Federation of Māori Authorities (FOMA) is pleased to introduce Te Horipo Karaitiana to the role of Chief Advisor Innovation and Research (CAIR) / Pou Whakatāmore Hangarau, in the innovation arm of the organisation. FOMA wishes to acknowledge the support of the National Science Challenge - Science for Technological Innovation - Kia kotahi mai - Te Ao Pūtaiao me Te Ao Hangarau.
